Is there a charge for delivery?
Delivery is FREE for all local, harvest and office boxes! One-time customers are subject to a nominal delivery fee of $5 within our delivery area.
When is my box delivered?
We deliver every Thursday and Friday between 3:00pm and 7:00pm and Saturdays between 10am and 3pm. Check out our delivery areas and enter your postal code for information regarding our delivery days. If your postal code is not listed, please feel free to give us a call at 613.695.7200 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What forms of payment do you take?
We accept the following methods of payment through our secured e-commerce servers: Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard and American Express. We will apply payment for all boxes a day prior to your delivery. Please note a $3 late payment fee will be charged to your account if your credit card is no longer valid and you have not provided a card update. If your credit card is declined at time of payment, delivery of your box will be delayed until payment has been received.
What is the deadline for ordering a box?
In order to ensure same week delivery, the following deadlines apply: Order deadlines are subject to changes when Holidays arise. Email notifications will be sent out with said changes.
What is my harvest box delivered in?
Our harvest boxes are delivered in green, durable and eco-friendly boxes with secure lids. There is a one-time $20 deposit applied to your account covering the cost of the green box. This fee is refundable should you decide to cancel your service. We will come pick up your box and refund you your $20 deposit. Lost or damaged bins will not be refunded. If you are a one-time customer, your box will come in an eco-friendly cardboard box that can be re-used!
Do I have to be home to accept my harvest box delivery?
No! We will deliver your order in a durable eco-friendly, green box. If you have special instructions on where to leave your box, you will be given the option to let us know upon sign up.
What happens on very hot days?
We aim to deliver later in the day so you do not have to deal with leaving the box outside in the heat. Remember, you can always leave us special instructions on where to leave your box. You can also leave out a cooler with ice packs and we will happily transfer over the produce.
What happens during the winter?
Our eco-green boxes are strong and durable, so your produce should last for up to an hour in extreme weather conditions. We aim to deliver later in the day to ensure you are home or will be home soon! You can always leave us special instructions (upon sign-up) on where to leave your box (i.e garage, enclosed porch, etc). You can also leave out a cooler and we will happily transfer your produce to keep it safe and fully fresh.
Where and when can I pick up my basket?
If you would like to pick up your basket, we are conveniently located near St. Laurent and the Queensway. You can pick up your order anytime between 8am-5pm on the day of your delivery or after. Our offices are located at 1169 Parisien Street right off of St. Laurent Boulevard.
How is the basket handled upon delivery?
Our friendly drivers will deliver your eco-green box to your door unless you have provided special instructions to leave it somewhere else. Special instructions can be filled out upon sign-up.
Can I make substitutions?
Upon signing up, you have the option of filling out your NO LIST, which lets us know what foods you do not like and therefore never want to receive. In the event that there are items in the box you do not like, we will replace the fruits and vegetables you have given the thumbs down to with different fresh, organic produce that you like!
Do you carry local food?
We are an Ottawa based company and we work with local suppliers whenever possible. We are your link to Eastern Ontario farmers and food producers. When the weather permits, we have our Local Box containing produce sourced solely from local farms in the area. Our motto is local, regional, Canada first!
Is everything you sell organic?
The fruits and vegetables in our Harvest and Office Boxes are 100% certified organic and fresh. The seasonal local box will be a selection of organic, non-GMO and conventional fruits and vegetables from ethical, locally-based growers as close to Ottawa as possible.
